Alleged Sexual Aggressor Caught by School’s Security Guard

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – A man is arrested after being accused of trying to sexually assault a woman who was walking to the Technological Institute of Nogales (ITN).

Local police received the report on Tuesday afternoon, and the male suspect was detained for attempted rape.

Police officers were dispatched to Periferico Luis Donaldo Colosio and at the entrance of the school, they found a woman crying and a security guard. They informed the police that they had caught the alleged aggressor.

Police officers detained the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Jesus Edgardo N, to later investigate the facts.

The guard reported that he was working in the booth when he saw a girl approaching. Suddenly a man hugged her from behind and pulled her to the side of the road into a hill.

He ran towards the screams and saw the young woman crying and yelling that the attacker had run towards the hill. The police report indicates that without losing sight of him, the guard chased the attacker until the suspect got tired and fell to the ground.

The guard ordered him to put his hands on his head and remained there until the police arrived.
