Alleged Killer Arrested

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – Juan Carlos N of 27 years of age and alleged murderer of Rosa Angelica N, was detained by state authorities in Nogales.

In a press release by the Sonora State Attorney’s Office, it was on Wednesday at 11:51, when elements of the Ministerial Criminal Investigation Agency (AMIC) made the apprehension.

A state fiscal obtained from the Judge an arrest warrant after presenting the evidence obtained by personnel from various areas of the Sonoran Prosecutor’s Office, including Expert Services and AMIC elements, which have been included in the investigation.

Juan Carlos N appears in file 418/2020 as the probable responsible for the crime of femicide committed to the detriment of Rosa Angelica, in events that occurred on October 11 when the young woman’s body was found.

It was found inside a house located on the grounds known as Rancho Contento, at the entrance to El Bellotoso, in south of Nogales.

The corresponding investigations were initiated immediiately by personnel of the Sonora Prosecutor’s Office, processing various evidence that were collected on the site and based on the results of the analysis carried out, the arrest warrant was requested.

Juan Carlos N was detained on October 12 by AMIC agents, in the 5 de Mayo neighborhood, after he was found in possession of methamphetamines.

The agents also found on him an “ice pick” with blood stains among his belongings, and he suffered cutting wounds on both arms, because he allegedly tried to kill himself.

The case of Juan Carlos N was turned to the corresponding authority to proceed with the crime process in accordance with the law.
