Abandoned Vehicle Found With Firearms

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – State Public Security Police (PESP) agents in coordination with the Mexican Army (Sedena), seized a vehicle with a report of theft and loaded with firearms.

The incident happened on Saturday, April 25, at the end of Raquet Boulevard, where police officers patrolling the area noticed a black sedan-type vehicle that appeared abandoned and with the doors open.

When inspecting the car Honda, the agents found that the car had been reported stolen in Chandler, Arizona.

Inside the car the police officers found a 7.62×39 caliber rifle with a magazine and 30 useful cartridges.

Also, they found a second rifle of the same caliber and a metal magazine in the passenger seat, and a 12-caliber shotgun in the trunk.

The case was turned to the Federal Attorney Office for prosecution.
