A Thief with Tuberculosis Spits On Police Officers

GUAYMAS, SONORA, MX – A person was detained for a recent violent robbery, attacking police officers, and spiting on them knowing that he suffers from tuberculosis.

Personnel from the Sonora State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE) presented the evidence to the Judge, who validated it and ordered the lawful preventive detention of Max Francisco N. Case assigned is number 100/200.

The accused was detained by local police officers on the night of April 25, after he robbed a commercial establishment located in the Centinela neighborhood.

The report indicated that when the accused entered the grocery store, he threatened the manager Maria del Carmen, asking her to hand over all the money, otherwise he would kill her. He threatened the manager while showing her a 40-centimeter long knife.

Max Francisco allegedly stole several cigarette packs and stabbed Ramon N in the neck fracturing his left clavicle, the accused then fled.

However, a few meters away, local police officers intercepted him when they responded to the robbery report. Knowing that he suffers tuberculosis, the accused threw saliva at the police officers. Tuberculosis (TB) is a highly contagious infectious disease.

The accused is detained pending legal action.
