72-Hour Water Supply Intermittent Interruptions in Nogales

NOGALES, SONORA, MX – More than twenty residential areas and two industrial parks in Nogales, are experiencing water supply interruptions due to a failure in one of the most important wells in the city.

The water company in Nogales, Oomapas, announces that the problem was in Well 8 located in the Los Alisos area.

They estimate that the problem will stop water supply of 62 liters of drinking water per second.

The affected residentials are San Miguel, Las Haciendas, San Carlos, Terrazas, Pueblitos, Manantial, Conjunto Jardin, Valle del Marquez, La Muralla, San Sebastian, Acacias, Monarch, Kennedy, Granja, Los Tapiros, Obrera, Fuente de Piedra and Las Acacias.

In addition to the Nuevo Nogales Industrial Park, San Carlos Industrial Park, Santa Lucia, Nuevo Nogales y Casa Blanca.

“There will be low-pressure water coming out of the faucets and it will not likely not reach the water tanks. We are announcing this in advance so that users can make arrangements. The repairs will take us 72 hours to complete,” the water distribution facility warned.
