690 Rescues in Border Patrol Tucson Sector Thus Far

TUCSON, ARIZONA, USA – A total of 690 people have been rescued by the Border Patrol Tucson Sector in the first seven months of the fiscal year 2020.

Among the most recent rescue cases, there is one where four people who crossed the border from Mexico to the United States illegally.

The migrants were in grave danger, and to avoid further risks, they decided to call the 911 emergency line for help.

The desert and mountainous region of the Arizona border with Sonora represents a risky scenario for migrants trying to cross illegally into the United States.

Coupled with the risks of terrain and temperature, there are also criminal groups and “coyotes” that often abandon immigrants, and put their lives in danger.
