$410,000 US Dollars in Cash Seized by SEDENA
SONOYTA, SONORA, MX – Last weekend two people were detained by the Mexican Army in possession of $410,000 U.S. dollars in cash.
The identity of the detainees was not disclosed, but the case occurred at the San Emeterio customs checkpoint in Sonoyta.
According to information from the Mexican Army, the incident was registered last Sunday, when the officers carried out an inspection at the checkpoint.
The routine inspection was conducted In a passenger bus where they located the cash, and immediately arrested two people.
The case was referred to the Federal Investigating Agency for the corresponding follow-up.
