18 Year Old Shot Dead in Magdalena de Kino

MAGDALENA, SONORA, MX – An 18-year-old man is killed on Thursday night when he was shot three times. He was in the company of his girlfriend near the Fatima neighborhood in Magdalena de Kino.

The victim was identified as Eduardo N who passed away after being admitted to the General Hospital after the assault.

The death was officially confirmed at 23:27 on Thursday.

State authorities confirmed that the attack was in an uninhabited area located near the Fatima neighborhood, where the young man was with his girlfriend when subjects aboard several vehicles shot at them.

The Attorney General’s Office in the State (FGJE) reported that they are working on the investigation of the murder.

Residents Report Gunfire

From the dawn of this Friday until Saturday around noon, residents of areas such as El Tacicuri and San Ignacio, as well as Magdalena de Kino, called the emergency 911 line to report shootings.

Local and state authorities, as well as the National Guard, attended reports of armed confrontations through the weekend.
